Excellence in Procedures and Services

In 1992, São Luiz implemented a Quality management program, which was called Quality Improvement Process (PMQ). For that purpose, a new business management model was adopted, involving the entire clinical body and the 1,600 co-workers of the program.

In 1999, São Luiz received the ISO 9002 certification through the DNV — Det Norske Veritas —, a Norwegian company with its head office in Oslo, currently existing in 100 countries around the world. Having been acknowledged by leading domestic and international inspection agencies, such as Inmetro and RvA, the certification was granted to the hospital services provided in the units.

In order to implement the ISO 9002 project, São Luiz adopted some new procedures, such as the suppliers´ assessment and qualification process, equipment management, among others.

In 2003, São Luiz was granted the 2000-release ISO 9001 certification for the Itaim and Morumbi units.
